Care and Use:

After using your Soshida Damascus VG Chef Knife, handwash with gentle dish soap and dry thoroughly.

Do not use scouring pads or bleach.

Allow knife to air dry completely before storing.

Never leave immersed in soapy water as this promotes corrosion.

Damascus Steel can be sensitive to corrosion caused by water and humidity and may require some care. To ensure your knives are well protected, after use, apply a food-grade mineral oil or fractioned coconut oil. 

Store knife in a block, knife case or in a sheath.

Never store knives unsheathed in a drawer. This is dangerous to you and damaging to the knives.

    Top Notch - Very Happy

    Excellent Service - from order to delivery and follow up. Highly recommended as a supplier of value for money high-end chef knives. The knife I purchased is exactly as expected. It is well balanced and expertly crafted Damascus with VG-10 Core which has been sharpened properly. VG-10 The VG-10 Japanese steel is very similar to ATS-34 with slightly more chromium for enhanced corrosion resistance but also contains vanadium which makes it marginally tougher than ATS-34. It's relatively hard and is extremely sharp while also promising reasonable toughness. Edge retention is very good, and it is relatively easy to sharpen using a 1000/3000 whetstone - I am expecting this knife to last!

    Birthday present

    My husband was so surprised when he opened the box wherein his present awaits him. The team at Shoshida wrapped it so beautifully, thanks guys! I wish I had taken a photo of his face expression when he opened the box where the exquisite Damascus 8inch Chef Knife lies. I knew from the pictures that it’s going to be a special gift, but wow, it took our breath away! It has its own special place in the kitchen and nobody is allowed to use it, only him. Shoshida team, we’re coming back for the rest of the set. The workmanship and precision is out of this world!
